Yes, this is a close-up of my drafting table which you can see the origonal for the "battery tower" drawing i posted earlier without all the computer stuff. See? the pants are purple and i changed them to grey in the drawing! Also theres a circluar mirror which i love to look at cause it creates this weird "fish eye" angle for everything it reflects, and also scattered around are photos of electrical poles for refrence.Plus, there few drawings on the wall are posters advertising the OCAD Comic, the posters i was selling at CN and origonal sketches that fellow artists have given to me, like Makoto's drawing of myself, and directly above it is a drawing my friend Yang gave me and so on. Also, see all the markers i use to colour with? Now you know how i do it!
Oh yes, and if anyone thinks that my room is neat, notice how in all the 4 pictures i posted the floor isnt visible even once? well...lets just leave it at that.

Woo!! Marker lovers unite! I have bags of Prismas and boxes of Copics 0.o I love the damn things, but they're so incredibly expensive. I like the replacement bottles for the Copics, so I can re-wet the nibs and get more use out of them. That's a good idea, tying them up in an elastic.

wow - your room is awesome. lol we set our rooms up almost the same - EXCEPT MINE IS WAY WAY MESSY. i used to have posters everywhere, but i lost them in the move and now my closet takes up a wall and theres this hanging/suspended shelf thing that i find annoying and useless that takes up half a wall. XD
my drafting table broke. i played around with lowering it and angling it too much- and it broke. O_o
and yes, i must agree with you, MAKO-SENPAI HAS A LOT OF MANGA. \

Heh its cool, we both have an affinity for a tonne of posters, and im working on decorating the ceiling as we speak.
the markers i use are prismacolour markers and Trias.....i stay the HELL away from copics just cause they're so expensive and the life of a normal marker for me is usually 4 weeks.
and yeah, Makoto is the best!

oh, yes, might i ask... what do you use to post up your posters up? O___o i dont seem to see any thumbtacks... so is it tape?

yeah its just regular scotch tape. what i do is tape the back of each corner of the poster with tape face down, and then put another piece of tape folded ontop of the face-down tape. it makes it easier to pin up as well as take down with no ripping at all. this is important especially for lighter paper which is 20lb or less.
Oh yeah and do NOT use that putty stuff for hanging up posters, it may seem nice the first few months but that putty has oils in it which erode and show through the other side after maybe a few months on the wall.

hahaha!! yeah a drafting table can just be like a flat table put on a slant. ALthough did i mention that drafting tables are the most fucking annoying things in the world?
Like see all the stuff on my table? Cause the table is on a slant, everytime i shake the table just a bit EVERYTHING slides down. UGH! i cant tell you how many times i've had to pick up papers, comic panels, and markers off the floor cause they just fell down on their own or whatever.
But yes, they are good to draw on.

My uncle, a landscaper, has a drafting table.
It has a small ridge of wood at the bottom of the slat so that that doesn't happen

well, at present i have intentions of modifying my current desk so it can tilt the left hand portion of the desk - im even drawing up ideas for how it will tilt, but yeah - it will take some time and effort to realise that idea.....and im a little short on both at this time -_-'
lol - i can understand why it would be a pain to use with heaps of stuff on it

my friend had a simmilar story like that except her's involved a stray thumb tack (ugh...)
and nevermind being jealous of my two big shelfs, think about it this way, im jealous of your gigantic manga collection!!! If i had to pick between having a two huge shelfs with nothing to put on, or a ton of mangas and no place to put them....its OBVIOUS which one i'd pick! (umm...having mangas...just in case anyone didnt know...)

i used to stick my posters up using those tape.. eh..
u know the ones they sell in art stores thats sticky on both sides?
no idea what its called, but i thought using those ones would look nicer.
but then guess it wasnt strong enough or its the paint on my walls..
they just fell one after another.. so now im back using scotch ="=
(my ears were automatically detecting the sound of posters falling too!)
