Dark shadows hide my spiritAnd keep my tears concealed
Solitude in this empty room
Echoes on the barren walls
Is this my prison?
Crumpled up tightly in a ball
My head between my knees
I’m blocking out my anger
Squeezing my eyes shut
All I see is you.
I’m awake 57 hours a day
It is better off this way
Your face, it haunts me in my dreams
Your voice is beautiful as it screams
I’m twisted.
I don’t want to leave this room
It’s my prison but it saves me
I’m confined to my world of torment
But I don’t need to let anyone else in.
I locked the door and ate the key.
Nobody can rescue me.
I’m awake 57 hours a day
