honestly you are so sweet and nice whenever you make these tutorials, they're so cute and good to follow? i've been in a huge art funk lately like had to delete a couple submissions because i felt so crappy about them but your tutorials are inspiring me all over again. it's nice to learn those things and be reminded of some basic stuff that might be troubling me in my art. anyways thank you so so so much again!!! i know i've been comment/fave spamming but you're just so rad!

Enylee, it is my absolute pleasure! Message like this are EXACTLY why I spend so much time doing all these! If it's helped get your inspiration jump-started again, that's so so cool to hear! We all need to be reminded that drawing should be fun and silly and experimental and full of learning from time to time! Thank you so much for the comments - this is not spamming, I love to hear this stuff! Now draw draw draw!!

Huge cheers!

Is Stranski composition free for people to use, or is it copyrighted? I assume it's ok to use, but I do want to make sure, just in case XD It seems like it would be incredibly useful!

Hey Jessica! It depends on the usage you mean? The ideas are of course there for you to adapt to your own work and use in creative ways. the characters are obviously all mine, so avoid using them, but the general ideas about layout are of course there to be used! What I would say, is that you'll get the most out of the ideas if you take them and mix them up, and add other design elements, that way you're creating something far more original, and ultimately, more satisfying

Cheers for the kind words, glad the tutorials are proving useful!

Oh  yeah, sorry, I should have specified! I did mean the layout, not the characters XD

I would have assumed they were, but something about it struck me that perhaps you were only using this as an example of one kind, and not necessarily one that others could use? It seemed a little far fetched that that was the case, but I did want to check and make sure. And thank you for the kind response, you did end up answering my question! XD

In that case, yes yes yes, use the ideas as you wish! And if you want to ping me a note when you post the results up, I'd love to see them! Cheers!

Never really put thought into simple/complex sides for compositions. That's something NEW for me!
