Description My huge new series of tutorials continues! This one is a request from Krishna Sadasivam (@pcweenies over on INSTAGRAM) who asked for a tutorial on VEHICLES. Obviously vehicle design is a MASSIVE topic, so I'm going to split it up, today focusing on using the stance of your vehicle to establish personality and drive style. I'll be getting into other elements of designing and drawing vehicles in future tutorials.

And if you want more like this, then why not read my how to draw WATER TUTORIAL and how to draw FABRIC TUTORIAL

If YOU have a REQUEST for a tutorial subject, just letΒ  me know in the comments below

Hmmm maybe that's why I didn't like drawing cars before... I didn't put PERSONALITY into them! I shall try doing that in the future!

Hey pal!

Thank you so much!

Can you elaborate on this request a bit more, please? Just so I know exactly what you want to know...

Cheers!

ZAPF-zeichnet In reply to EtheringtonBrothers [2017-01-24 15:37:49 +0000 UTC]

oh sure absolutly. When it comes to characters and poses for example . I worried so much about anatomy and interesting details. But in the end it often wasnΒ΄t a strong design. Then I read about designing the shape. The shape tells you so much about the character is he strong and bold or dangerous .... But finding interesting and strong shapes isnΒ΄t at all easy. How to make a runner look fast while standing? I feel that I was taking the second step befor the first. I worried about anatomy and details but didnΒ΄t take the time to think about posture and how the posture supports my character. You where writing about how the postion of the wheels change the expression of a car. And I wondered if you could talk about how you choose posture/shape/silhouette to give a person a certain character. Do you know what I mean?Β

Thanks for elaborating!
