He won a shared second place!

The air was heavy with anticipation, yet crisp from the cold. A gentle wind blew past the pearl stag and made him dance to the side – it was colder here than where he belonged. In the distance, between two mountains, the first sign of snow had showed itself by blurring them out slightly. It would not be long before that snow would hit where the stag was, but there was no need for alarm. It would only be a gentle snow, not a storm to end the show.

It took a moment before Malte realized that the halter was off, but when he did he moved before the handler told him to. Away he went, trotting only far enough to be outside of the handler’s reach though, before he slowed to a walk and continued on his merry way that way. He only took a few steps before the music set in and away he went again – now it was showtime and he did what he knew best: he showed himself off. Trot, canter and even a bit of gallop; Malt Whiskey was not green in the field of Liberty. His costume was rather new to the whole thing though and eventually the part on his side started slogging, threatening to fall off, but he did not seem bothered by it the least. He merely continued with his painted head held high.
As suddenly as the music had started it died out and a clean call was heard instead. A call for him. As if on a dime the stag twisted around and moved towards the sound, not giving even a moment away to folly.

Over the speaker it was announced that the previous record, for how little time it had taken a handler to catch their fawnling, had been shattered.

Anyway, enjoy a bit of Malte and a weird costume that has nothing to do with the season, because I took whatever my little brother suggested xD
