Ooh I love these. The colors and the faces are great! I tried making cold porcelain 5 different times and it never turned out. We finally gave up. It would always dry out and crack or it would be too soft and wouldn't keep its shape and then crack if it did manage to dry. I really liked the idea of being able to color your clay with markers.

i do have to watch with cracking.i use glycerin in it once kneaded to keep it moist enough not to crack or crack much. as far as to soft with mine i just knead it in my hand til it stiffens back up a bit. old tattoo ink colors it amazingly . it's definitely harder to work with and less forgiving than sculpey but it is almost free so not bad lol

My mother really liked the porcelain clay and when she couldn't get it to turn out right it really made her sad. I think we might just have to buy it online some time. We watch tons of videos on youtube but it never turned out right. We microwaved it and made it on the stove. We have a gas stove so that may cause it to cook differently. The microwave goes by mins. and has no seconds. We used the same things as they did in the video. I mean a 12 year old boy was able to make it in one video. We used lotion to keep it from drying out but when we made our objects and they started to dry that's when they started to crack. It felt fine to work with but then when we were finished that's when it started to crack really badly.

As for sculpey its too soft for me to work with. I like working with premo and fimo its hard but I like to keep the finger prints off my work. I wear gloves too when I work as to keep the finger prints down. I do love all the colors sculpey offers though. I may try working with it again some time. I don't like red though. For some reason in all the clays red bleeds really bad. So a lot of my work doesn't have it because its so hard to keep red off of white or other colors.

Thanks for letting me know what you do with the clay.

yeah i have a heck of a time with the sculpey heating up sometimes. and red bleeding i would believe. out of all the colors i have made red was the hardest in sculpey and yet the easiest in cold porcelian. the cracking isnt perfect what so ever but thats the closest i have come
