Thank you for the 5,000 hits, guys!The Full-view doesn't do this pic justice. You gotta download it to fully appreciate the marker work.
So yep, here's my kiriban picture for that. T'is actually an envelope picture. It has a picture on the back as well. (I'll put that up in a bit.)
I've always loved the design and concept of a gryphon. The herd (flock? pride?) in Chronicles of Narnia made me so happy. Can't tell you how many times I've watched that movie just for the scenes with them in it. (Reference material, y'know?) This is the first gryphon that I've drawn where I've been very statisfied with the results. I had a lot of fun coloring it, too. (LotR binge today; celebrating the completion of two BIG tests today. Gotta do something in between the scenes with Aragorn, Eomer, and Faramir, y'know.)I'm thinking of selling this at a con. Any price suggestions? I'm also thinking of making several of these envelopes and perhaps some bookmarks also.

This would be very interesting to others who see this picture. the gryphon's face in some way shows nobility and bravery as his eyes glim with courage. this would be adored to many of gryphon fans.

I suppose one could call a gryphon a monster... Kinda makes me feel a little better, actually, because I generally suck at drawing fantasy creatures that don't have a human-like form.

I would definitely buy some awesome envelopes like this. I don't really know about prices, but I'd say no less than ten dollar (but i'm cheap, so you could probably get a lot more!).

That's about the price range I was thinking of. But I'm usually on the cheap side of things, so I wasn't sure... It would be the original being sold, after all, so I wanted it to be in a fair range.
