Ready your omni-tool, throw on your N7 gear, and get ready for a trip to the Citadel, because N7 Day is just through the next Mass Relay. This Tuesday, November 7th, we’re celebrating the Mass Effect Universe.

As always, i will try to upload a bunch of my newest Mass Effect renders trough the Day. Unfortunately this year there won't be quite as much as usual. Real life isn't quite as kind when it comes to free time at the moment, and I'm still working on a major project for the Euderion fan group which swallows up most of my meager free time.

What is N7 Day?

Corresponding to the military rank on Commander Shepard's armor, N7 Day is celebrated on November 7th each year. N7 Day is a celebration of Mass Effect, the fans' passion for the games, characters and universe.

The meaning of N7 comes from the armor worn by the game's main character, Commander Shepard. The N is the special forces classification and the 7 signifies the seventh (and highest) rank at the Interplanetary Combatives Academy.

N7 Day itself was actually created as a BioWare marketing platform, although this may have been inspired by a previous fan celebration. The first official N7 Day was announced in a BioWare editorial celebrating the fifth anniversary of the original Mass Effect. Fans were quick to embrace the idea of the celebration on Twitter and Facebook, eager to come together as a community and discuss all of Mass Effect. Similar to the Star Trek Day on September 8th and the Star Wars Day on May the 4th, N7 Day is a worldwide celebration event for everything about Mass Effect.
