Description
Have to say i was very impressed from the season finale of the first "Star Trek - Lower Decks" Season so i just wanted to do some Fanarts. I have already made some pictures of the Cerritos and the Titan, so i now turn to the antagonists. The Pakleds. I know it was some kind of cheesy but also funny. Seeing the Pakled warships kitbashed their ships from dozens of species tech and strap the parts together with cables and propably hotglue.
I tryed to kitbash such a ship myself with the Pakled transportship as core element. I think I succeeded. It is of course not identical to the ones seen in Lower Decks, but the basic design should match.
The Pakleds constantly looked for things – things that made them "go", but especially things that made them powerful. They tried to acquire technology from other species, generally by theft through coercion. To the casual observer, the Pakleds appeared to be intellectually challenged, especially in their verbal skills. However, despite the apparent lack of intellect, they proved to be far more cunning than they appeared, and used their innocuous appearance to deceive other races. In 2365, a Pakled ship named Mondor sent out a Mayday in the Rhomboid Dronegar Sector 006 in order to lure in other ships whose technology could then be stolen.
If the robbery succeeds, the Pakleds equip their ships with the stolen technology and continue until they have transformed their small transport ship into a dreadnought-like battleship.
Due to the constant upgrading of materials from different species, there is hardly a Pakled ship that is alike, but most of them has these wedge shape ships as core element.
In 2380, the Pakleds level of accumulation had created powerful ships, salvaged from over thirty different species – including Klingons, Romulans, Bajorans, Arkonians, and Ferengi – to the point where they could easily be a threat to some Federation starships. In an apparent attempt to seek revenge against the Enterprise, one of these augmented ships destroyed the USS Solvang, and seriously damaged the USS Cerritos. Three more augmented Pakled ships then arrived, threatening to destroy the Cerritos, but were driven off after the USS Titan arrived and outpowered them.
