Description
One of my Cosplay pictures i made earlier, but have forgotten to post. Thomas Harriman, Security Chief and first Officer of the USS Euderion.Star Trek First Contact Vest with Yellow undershirt for Security Devision. I like to give the character a bit messy, informal look with the vest and the rolled up sleeves like Chief Miles O'brien often appeared in Star Trek Deep Space Nine.
The Phaser, communicator and the pockets for the equipment is all selfmade by me.
Effects done in Adobe After Effects CS6.

Nice. How do you feel about the stupid crap CBS is doing regarding fanfilms? They've killed Trek Phase II and Continues. And all because the Axanar people might've overshot themselves. And I worry that soon they'll target ALL fanfiction.

The new guidelines are a pain in the ass. If you really try to accept every of the guidelines points, you are not be able to create a proper fanfilm. Myself think, that Paramount/CBS hurts themself attacking the fans. The last Movie "Beyond" was a financial flop, and that has a reason.
I can understand the intention. The Fanfilms like Phase2, Axanar or others have a high budget, money Paramount want to see by themself. So i can understand they limited the maximum crowdfunding money. No problem with that. A real fanfilmer can make a good movie without a giant budget. But every of the other guidelines are bullshit. 15 min per episode? No actors involved? No more than two parts? Meh...

As far as Continues and Phase II, A. They've bent over backwards from day one to work with CBS. James Cawley even lent them props from Phase II and had a cameo in JJTrek! So frankly CBS has slapped them all in the face. And while they have DEFINITELY hurt relations with older fans, they do not care about that. They are aiming at the fanbois and girls who only like the JJTrek stuff, and could care less about real Trek. And those "fans" are 100% behind the guidelines. Why? Most fanfilms are either TOS or Next Gen, which are "old". They want more JJTrek cos it's "FRESH". >.<
