This is portrayed excellent. I like the dark tone of the image, and that you can see not only the creature in the ceiling, but the glowing red eyes of more of them in the background. Awesome work of art.

Lol found this work by pure luck; I went through a thousand thumbnails @ dA but one caught my eyeΒ in a heartbeatΒ - a short haired blondie with a very distinctive attire + a shotgun, which led me to this artwork

so what's the story? I'm really intrigued!

The story is pretty much what you see:
Three action girls investigating an abandoned secret lab, trying to understand what happened, unaware of the monsters still lurking around.
Each of them got their own respective backgrounds, and their own reasons for investigating such things, but they are brought together by the Blackwatch, something :iconSiin4u: could tell you more about since it is his creation. (he is Ariela's creator, the girl in green investigating the blood on the floor)
Tia and Ariela have been depicted together before on two occasions, it is the first time having the two girls together with Maren though.
