A great use of detail line structure and texture, the flow of the image really draws the viewer in and allows for the discovery of all the other textures and details of the image. The one downfall I see in the image is the amount of grain in the photograph possibly caused by to much contrast. However great choice to go with black and white as opposed to colour, a colour image would be much more distracting. Overall a great image an excellent representation of what abstract photography is all about. Well done and thank you for sharing it with the community.

Thank you very much for the critique. You are absolutely right about amount of grain. I've taken this shot at my work on the construction field with my mobile phone (Samsung Omnia). So I suppose it was the main reason of the quality issues.

Huh, very interesting! It feels like I'm getting pulled into a vortex or something similarly disorienting. Really neat.

A blue whale pops into my head when I look at this . . . their coarse skin . . their graceful movement through the water . . . Hope that doesn't sound too mad

Wonderful piece

Even if it's abstract art, I can't stop myself from wondering "what is this?"...
