It wasn't long before panic struck Mweoria. Countless players were bawling on the streets. Many logged off all together. Some of the more rebellious ones were already beginning to break the rules, thinking themselves free from the moderators.
Eusong, Cece, and Seneca found themselves darting from shadow to shadow in an attempt to avoid the onslaught.
"What ever will we do?" Cece wailed, gripping Seneca's arm in terror.
"We must go to an wiser player. Perhaps they can help us to survive this Mweor-pocolypse." Eusong decided and lead the two girls to a fancy-looking cattery. It was one of the few that hadn't been attacked by the rule-breakers yet.
"Terra (#120674)! Terra, please let us in!" Eusong hollered, banging on the door. An aristocratic looking woman opened the door. She had a top hat and monocle, as well as a most elegant suit.
"...Can I help you?" She asked, eying the three suspiciously.
"Please, we're looking for the missing moderators. Surely you know something that can help us?" Seneca gave Terra puppy eyes.
Terra glanced left, then right, then ushered the three players into her cattery.
"Forgive me but I've already had to fight of a group of players who tried to steal my MP." She said, leading the girls into a humongous library.
"Woah!" Seneca's eyes shone and Cece's mouth was left gaping open.
"This is a marvelous collection," Eusong commented.
"Indeed. These are all antiquities." Terra responded before taking an old book off a shelf. She blew the dust off and set it on a table. The other gathered around.
"There's an old legend of a player named Barcode. It's said she has great powers and can summon the admins at will."
"Does that book tell of it?" Eusong asked excitedly.
Terra shot a glare at her.
"No, this is my coloring book. I'm bored."
"...Oh."
Terra picked up a few crayons and began to draw in the book. As she did this, she continued.
"The stories say that Barcode was a magical wizard whom ruled the land before Kah and Idess (#2) arrived. Apparently they came and made a deal with Barcode; if they could turn this land into a country for their people, they would give Barcode the powers she needed to maintain it. Some say she's even more powerful than a moderator."
"Woah," Cece whispered, "I bet she has an epic robe and staff!"
"Where is this Barcode?" Seneca asked.
Terra let out a slow breath.
"It is said she lives atop Crackle Mountain, in the deepest and darkest of caves."
Eusong shivered. The group became silent. After a few minutes, Eusong spoke up.
"I will go to retrieve Barcode. If she can fix what's happened to Mweoria, it's well worth the journey."
Cece and Seneca looked at her, wide-eyed.
"Are you nuts?!" Seneca asked.
Eusong shrugged. "Maybe. Then again maybe I'm bolts. Either way, I will go."
Terra nodded in admiration of the girl's bravery.
"I would go with you, but I'm afraid the trip is simply too dangerous for a sir such as myself."
"That's alright," Eusong said. "I'm sure I can find someone else who will come with me."
