Hi, which paper do you use? I'm searching for a good paper and i can't figure out which one is the best to build papercraft models. Glossy? Matte? Textured? Photo paper?Β
Could you give me a little help? >.<Β
(Sorry for my english, my native language is portuguese)
Thank you!

I think it's awesome that you're able to make and organize these from 3D models to foldable flat paper... but i think you should check out the handle on this one. It's on the 4th page... it gets a bit... tricky.
If anyone's gotten past the handle, could you tell me how you did it? because the template looks a bit impossible, or is it just me? ^_^'

You have to make unmarked cuts with this one, unfortunately. It's possible, but messy.

Should only be the tabs, which really don't need to be perfect. If it bothers you anyway, you can just load the PDO into Pepakura Designer and tweak the arrangement yourself. I was just trying to use fewer sheets of paper.

The Circles are inside of each other
The Spikes are in the Big circle
in total there are 19 things inside of each other
I actually began creating your model
but it got messed up a bit sofar because of the holes i had to cut in so it were inside each other^^
it will be done in some days

Oh, I see what you mean. Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix that. When I build models like this I just cut it same as you. Frustrating, but better than no template at all.

It unfolded into hundreds of little pieces, and the textures wouldn't export and/or load. I think the pieces had something to do with the model I used, but the textures have never worked for any of my attempts.

Oh, you do most of the joining in pepakura? Okay... I'll have remember that...
I usually use Google sketchup, since it's the software I'm most familiar with, but since it was updated, it's become nearly impossible to use sketchup for papercraft making, so that stalled any more attempts to learn.
I think I did try the texture, but it wouldn't show up. Maybe it has something to do with sketchup...?

SketchUp is not a program that I've tried much with.... I didn't even know it can unfold models.
I can't get MeshLab to display textures, either. But after I edit a model, the texture still works in Pepakura. As long as the model still has its UV map, there's no reason it shouldn't...
In my most recent Journal post are a ton of links to other freeware 3D studios if you want to experiment with different ones....
