Description ... So this one didn't turn out as I had intended.

So, for this next one, as I continue to try and find my new angle for art, I decided to do a new Pokemon piece, which I haven't done in a bit.  While I have drawn all these guys before, and I swear if I do more Pokemon, I don't intend to just draw the same ones over and over, this one I wanted to draw these guys for similar reasons to Megaman.  I've been playing Pokemon most of my life, which should be obvious, and I did indeed start with Pokemon Red, so this was my first pick.  While it isn't my favorite Pokemon, the Charizard line remains still one of those I like the most, even if that is a bit stereotypical, given Charizard is usually high on lists and what not.  But, fire dragon creature, what can you do.  I will say I think I am happy with how this all turned out, because honestly my previous attempts to draw these guys have been somewhat subpar.  Really didn't like my last Charizard, and the dual Charmander and Charmeleon drawing is frankly pretty bad.  These guys are a lot better realized, and the interactions between them I think helps.

Now, I was intending on trying a more anime-esque coloration here, with hard shades and what not, compared to the blending of my last picture.  But, when I started coloring the flames, which I really like how they turned out, I kind of had to go through with a more blended look to fit.  Also, tried kinda weird things with the lighting, which probably aren't really accurate, but eh, still just playing around.  Do need more time to work on this stuff, still a late posting, and I'm not even sure what the next drawing will be.  No Star Wars stuff most likely though.

This is very impressive, especially with how the interactions between Charmander and Charmeleon particular look, as if a child is trying to emulate it's older sibling. It definitely has a charm to it that adds to the personality of what would still be a pretty awesome reiteration of a classic design.

Thank you very much.  I'm not the best at character interactions normally, but glad that came through in that instance.

You're welcome. And character interactions can be rather tricky amidst more bestial entities like Pokemon, so I can understand feeling the need to practice more. I wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Thank you, definitely my favorite in capturing the aesthetic for Pokemon I've been wanting to go for.

Well I mostly tried to make them look a bit more accurate than usual, just with a few of my extras such as the more mottled areas around the belly, and more animal-esque eyes.  Good back to basics.
