AnniversariusSomething a little different, a piece i made for my girlfriend for our anniversary. Its something thats really made with her in mind, so it may not resonate with others, so id be interested to see what other people think.
Its supposed to represent a sort of imaginary winter escape wonderland, a mix of tropical islands and outer space. A place where the ocean becomes the sky, with no horizon. A place where islands float amongst stars, on clouds of energy created by the joyous memories of your experiences in this place.
A mix of 3ds max and photoshop. All the animals and details are models not cropped photos. There are many species in there, some of which may not be visible at this scale.

Much better go than the previous abstract wallpaper, you really have a much clearer theme here, with a very fitting design, not just a bunch of things thrown together. I'm not sure if I catch the space part, apart from the stars, but as an abstract take on beach vacations, I love it...just a creative design through and through.

I like the concept and the composition overall. You made a four cornered plane within that four corners of the area you used. The islands are three while the boat seems to make the last corner. It kinda gives that needed perspective for the viewer even if this alternate universal technically doesn't have a horizon.
The textures and creatures used to augment the contour of each island was a great idea. It's an eye-catching piece.
