so you start out with neutral colours and only apply the different shades with layer modes? just tryna understand how you get it to look so damn good, hope you dont mind me asking!

first I do the shading and lighting and then I add flat colours on layers set on either multiply or soft light 
my process is kind of weird I don't really know how to explain aa
