when people use proportions like that, I always think of foot binding.

any reasons why it makes you think of foot binding?

ah, partly done because i have very small feet and hands. :>
i was a bit scared my drawing reminded you too much of the cruelty that gets involved with the foot binding, didn't want you to get disgusted or so.

I don't think foot binding is disgusting. I think it's simple body modification enforced by the ideals of a sub culture. Similar to neck stretching, tattoos, gauging ears/lips/etc. I don't agree with some of the ideals placed on women who foot bind (mainly because of how limited certain aspects of there life become, especially when there older.)
But if it makes some one happy, and helps them connect with there body/mind/spirit better then i'm all for it. ([link] ) Piercing/modifying my self has helped me learn a lot about my self, and those who view it.

i just find the way they do it disgusting and the fact that they don't ask for the women's opinion about the foot binding - i see it as a religion force -, same for all the other modifications.
i've gauged my both ears to 8mm (i think that's around 3-4 inch) even though i find the actual action disgusting. it's a close to ugly moment to push a bigger thing into your ear and the sound/smell when making/healing isn't pleasant at all. i still can not answer properly why i got it.
i do agree that if somebody wants it to be done, they're more than free to do so and i have respect for it. i do not show any respect when they do the certain modification to somebody without having "permission".

the smell of a healing piercing is so disgusting! Some of my friends said that wood/glass don't smell as bad, and those flexible silicone eyelets also help. I've pierced/stretched my septum, and my god a healing piercing can smell damn funky!
I'm currently gauging my navel and I've lost half of my tapers to friends over the years, so I went from a 4 to a 0 in one session which I slightly regret, lol, and then I went swimming right after. So now it's slightly blown, but it did this last time I stretched it like this and returned back to normal fairly quick. I clean it with sea salt, then put this mix of Vietnam E oil/baby oil around the piercing to keep it hydrated/healthy, while drinking a lot of water.
I want to gauge my ears really bad, I love some of the plugs out there. It's interesting to see how people react towards modifications. When I wear my septum ring in, some people don't even notice/pay attention, while it's all some people see. Body modifications kinda helps to weed out certain people, and let you judge there character better. While it also allows you to determine the character of people who have body modifications. What type of jewelry they wear, what modifications they have, etc. do you have an iam account? (eggtea.bmezine.com is mine)

i'd love to get a septum piercing, just the piercing. i'm not too fond of the stretched septums myself. my family on the other hand hates facial piercings (apart from the nosepiercing i got) and do not support me in getting a septumpiercing. so i guess i'll wait and see what i'll do.
i don't buy many plugs, i prefer claws and curls. too bad the piercingshop i know doesn't offer a huge amount of claws and curls, so i have to be lucky to get a real nice one. although, it's not really bothering me because i don't often change my piercings.
people react strange on my gauged ears and the few other piercings i have, but since my dress-style is probably more "shocking" they react on that more often.
my mum constantly warns me that people will react real badly and more negatively if i get a (new) facial piercing.
i do love to get piercings, the feeling (apart from the pain) is very addictive - i assume you know what i mean.
i'm very interested in piercings (and tattoos) and i like talking about it. i enjoy looking at people who have them. in my opinion, they often get judged too wrongly. when my mum told at her work that i have gauged ears, her colleagues immediately thought i was on drugs and being some sort of terrible rebel. they were glad their kids weren't like me and they don't understand why my mum let's me be the way i am.
i have no aim, but as i find this a pretty interesting subject, you can note me with your respond so we can continue there if you prefer that.

iam* is a body modification community [link]
eggtea.bmezine.com [link] is my account.
it's not to uncommon to have body modifications in portland, OR (where I live) especially for girls. No one really cares here. My septum is a 4, and I have it pierced again in the tip of the septum for a small 12g ring that I have to manually bend. It would look less out of place If I had my ears gauged. I need to get a good job/career setup first before I start to gauge my ears/get tattoo's. I did all my piercings when I was in highschool, I pierced my septum twice in 8th grade, then my own P.A. 9th and a madison (front neck pericing) later 9th grade, then again in 11th grade. then I pierced my ear in 12th and wore a surface bar in it so it looked like a staple. two years after I graduated (about a few months ago) I pierced my navel and then instantly stretched it from a 14 to a 8, slowly to a 4 then to a 0 a few days ago. navels take about a year to fully heal, so now I just need to find a good glass curved navel plug.

Do you think dreams have meanings?

i don't think dreams have actual meanings. i do think dreams can affect a mood and the way you think.
any reasons why you asked that question?

Its just something I've been contemplating lately! I think they have meanings, but I'm not sure what they really mean.

i think i've seen too many suggesting meanings that i don't believe it them. i do think it can affect your way of thinking about something purely because you had a dream about it.
