Description
Firstly said, I only destroyed the violin for an art project because it was stepped on while I was being moved into a new house. I love my violins and couldn't just throw it away. So I did this.I wanted to represent the aggressiveness of a man thrown in the elegance of a violin. I feel a musician puts him/her self into their instrument. Being a man, I tend to be natuarally more aggresive. But trust, I'm a softy at heart, heh!
The neck of the Violin has "Silence is Impossible" grinded into it.
Funny Story:
I had a friend mouth off about the phrase on it, claming that if you were deaf, everything would be silent. I told him that just because a person can't hear, doesn't mean that things are silent. It's funny because he didn't understand, heh!

I love this. It's as elegant as it is haunting. Beautiful use of an otherwise broken instrument! I love how violent this looks, from the blood to the positioning of the hand. I'm also loving the photography and the wall it's hanging on--I have to say, it looks perfect hanging there! I think this is one of the most well-deserved DDs in recent months. Great work.

I could never throw away my old harp; It means too much to me! But I would never think to turn it into a project like this...
It's beautiful but agressive; disturbing but soothing in an odd way; two mixtues I've never seen before in a piece like this.
To claim that this was simply art would be an insult; it truly is a masterpiece.
You, my friend, have a brilliant mind. I urge more pieces like this in the future~! Bravo!

I wouldn't have wanted to have thrown it away either; I would also have liked to use it for something, perhaps something similar to this. Same with anything else that seems to break, I ponder if I can use it or not.
