Wow this is a great macro shot! Did you layer the backround to make it black? If not then its a very dark sunny day . Great composition!

Thanks Keegan! It was a bright sunny day. I used the spot meter in the camera to meter the flower. As a result, the background came out black. Typically I don't like to post process in photoshop.

I just love the comp on this one, the detail and colour on the one bright petal and the shadow on the other. Sure makes me think about a new lens..Great shot!
