I always feel weird in some respect about drawing Hellboy, because I want to honor the character, but I don't want to steal Mignola's style, yet I don't want to dishonor Mignola by butchering his masterpiece!

I felt the same way when I did a doodle of Hellboy. I didn't dare touch the way Mignola does his character because he's WAY better at it than me, so I used my own style, but I tried to make him look as close to the character's design as possible- [link]

I had done something like it in my sketchbook last year. I saw a girl at Olive Garden eating spaghetti, and thought of H.P. Lovecraft at that time...I know...very weird, but it worked!
