When I see this it reminds me of the japanese legend of the Jinmenju - A tree with human-faced fruits.

This would make an awesome ornament, i once drew a tree when i was alot younger that the leaves were hands and it was covered in eyes the viens of the hands ran into the branches etc and the eyes were the knots in the wood it scared me that i could come up with something that evil bk then now i wish i could recreate it lol.

And so it goes, Tool, among other music artist's, writers, etc. that paint ghastly images were inspired by the Bible. That is where most evil imagery originates from.
Having that in mind, it is still great work despite the matter.
