Description Waterclay sculpture in progress. Waterclay is very soft... almost like mud. Once you get the forms you like, you can let the clay harden and strengthen the form and final details.

Interesting, I never really thought of letting it dry for finishing because of cracking and shrinkage, how would one deal with something like that on a bigger piece or somthing that is dependant on an armature?  Because I decided to just skip it and make a waste mould to do the finishing in plaster on my latest project.

Also, love the wrinkles, that's some subtle stuff going on there.

Yeah I would not let it completely dry out...because it would begin to crack but you can get it pretty close.
