I use a lot of forensic books and gross kinds of reference material for work of this nature. I do not really like looking at that stuff but sometimes we need to see what it really looks like. As far as tips...I guess it would have to be specific to the project for me to help. Thanks for the kindness...just keep working hard and stay focused and good things do happen.

Thank you so much for getting back to me, greatly appriciated!!!
Yeah the research is a dirty job, I do get creeped out a lot of the time & get a few weird looks in the library!
Well i'm trying (being operative word lol) to make an evil zombie with the nose to the bone, dried in skin at the cheekbones so they're protruding & angry eyebrows type thingy lol!! but as it's part face i'm not allowed to go down to the mouth. I'll try looking up forensics sites!!
Thank again Evan, i'm so chuffed you helped!!
=oD

Hey Evan, I've finished college now and wondered if you had time would you tell me what you think of my zombie (Billy Butcherson from Hocus Pocus) I also made a skeleton face too lol

I'd really appreciate your opinion aswell as constructive criticism is always welcome too!
If you have any hints and or tips, i'm hoping to get into university to study sculpting and prosthetics!! fingers crossed eeeeek
I took your advice last time too and found looking up the correct references amazing!
Thank you kindly in advance

Looking at this, I can't help but wonder how you learn how to create such realistic... (what would you call it) gore? I'm so fascinated by how natural even your unnatural creatures and creations seem.

Thanks...it just takes a really long time of practice and study of natural sculpture. I try not to stray too far from realsim even if the idea is a silly one.

Do you think there is a special reason why this picture doesn't load for me?
I've hit the reload button several times now, but it won't show up.
These images are still up and valid from their owners for your portfolio-reference, right?
Maybe there's some maintenance on the dA-servers at the moment....
Crap, I really would've liked to see this sculpt ... because coincidentally I've just seen Pulp Fiction again about 2 weeks ago, and wondered why we never got to see the dead guy's face! :-/

Must be a glitch...happens to me sometimes.
I think that it was always meant to be pov shot from behind ving's head as to spark more imagination and be an interesting shot.

Yeah...they made us go to lunch - but I ended up sculpted the piece over the cast for the needle poke.

This must be an interesting story to tell to young movie buffs. "My favorite movie's Pulp Fiction." "Oh yeah? I worked on that movie."
It's been an interesting walk through your gallery, lots of impressive work.
