Description
This project was meant to put my pixel skills to the test. It left me feeling... disappointed, to be honest. More practice.Though I won't be coming back to it for a while, crits are totally welcome. Have at it!

Geez, your fur shading is AMAZING.
Personally what I would do to improve it would be to make the tail outlines more "bushy" at the end -- see how they have a circular outline? They might look better if they come to a point OR you branch off fur individually.
Honestly, with such a realistic style, you might want to think about not using outlines or, perhaps a better idea, anti-aliasing the outline with the object (blend the pixels so the outline looks smoother).
I'm sorry, I don't mean to just crit you like crazy. I really do love your works. I just thought since you said you were disappointed with it you might want some input, even if you won't come back to it for awhile.

Regarding the outlines, I agree. I've been meaning to practice AA. ...It's just so intimidating.

The only place that could maybe use a bit more depth is the extended forearm, in my opinion. But jeebus, this is gorgeous. Way to go, seriously!

There is some really lovely pixel work here. I love the jewels. I took the liberty of playing with this animation a little on ImageReady. I changed him to having lights in both eyes. I didn't change the design of the second eye just added the green. I then slowed the 'closed eye' frame to half a second. I thought it seemed to make more sense than him winking....just my thoughts.

Naw, you just have them fill out a character resume and make sure they send in a Cover Letter with their resume or it will be rejected. :-D
