In Late May of 1986, the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society & 765 operated a series of Excursions over the former Lake Erie & Eastern's Mainline between Congers NY & Boston MA as part of the newly formed Lake Erie & Eastern Railroad Preservation Inc. The excursions recreated the LE&E Passenger train, the Lake Erie Limited between Congers NY to Boston MA. These trips would see the train pass through the scenic but mostly quiet Killdane Forest Route during the day. Soon, we catch the 765 & her 18-22 car train racing through the New York Countryside as 765 approaches it's next stop at Salem MA.evangaines 2022
