Did this for the #GameArt group's 3rd contest that ends on 3-29-10.Its a salvaged wandering battle mech thing that the girl adopted, made it her home and now she roams the world while hitching a ride and keeping up the repairs.

Oh wow. I love this! The entire thing has a very whimsical angle to it while at the same time giving a very used and patched-up feel. I especially love the clothesline and all the bullet holes!

the concept behind it is pretty cool. You have my vote, but the mech needs to make a lot more mechanical sense, especially the joints. It looks like it's front heavy. It would also be a lot more interesting if the "head" had more to it than the simple box shape.

I kindoff looks like a carton box with guns and legs.
I understand the time limit of the competition.. but this concept just cries for more touching up

Thanks for the ideas. I'm still trying to come up with ways to fix it. I need to figure out how to make the body more dynamic while still having the painted face stand out and be easy to see. I also wanted to have the mech have a "pieced together" and salvaged look to it so I have to work on making that stand out more too. Thanks again!

Very good concept indeed.
There are a few issues, though. You should correct the girl's proportions a bit (check some real-life pictures or anatomy drawings) because her legs look a little weird, and also bring out her face a bit so she can be a bigger focal point in the image. Also the mech's blue-gun-things don't look quite real to me, they look like plain spheres.

Thanks for the input. I upped the contrast around her face and body and put some stuff on the lazer guns for her to brace herself on. I think it still needs some work, but this is what I have so far

i rekon that the girl should be sitting in a sling/swing btween the arm and the missiles on teh other side ^.^ i think that would not only look better but make more sence to sleep on (plus it would preobably be more comfy)
