She has a degree in Fashion Design from the prestigious Bunka Fashion College and owns her own company which designs, in part, costumes for various Japanese pop idols. She takes her fashion work as seriously as her work in the ring and between the two has little time for anything else.

She is the current Japanese Women's Welterweight title holder and is considered one of the top contenders for the World title.

She is descended from the ancient Uesugi clan and considers herself a modern day Samurai.
