Predorus ponies are a species that evolved from dragon pony hybrids.
Being omnivores they need meat to sustain themselves. So they tame monsters and hunt and eat other monsters with the ones they tame.
Due to their high honor code they wrap their eyes to temporarily blind them as the species they tame (nightmare hounds) so they hunt like their companions and it gives their prey a chance to fight back.
