Strolling through the festival was a night like any other night, at least until Jovik saw an angel that had him smitten at first sight. His best friend in the whole world, however, can't see what he sees in Muffin.

Name of event: [EVENT] The Night Returns (open!)It's all feeling rather normal around Wellstone as autumn rolls into the forest. And by normal one would definitely mean bustling: final preparations are in order for this year's Feast of Beasts, the annual celebration of all things spooky and/or deadly and the curio ability to overcome it all. The vendor stalls are set up, the dinner plans are drawn, the tables and chairs are hauled up from city hall's sub-sub-sub-basement, and the mayor looks over their shoulder constantly for fear of any alien threats. ,Visitors roll in from miles around, booking up hotels or simply paying for campsites, bags stuffed with costumes and perhaps a few sneaky containers for leftovers. After such an eventful few years in curio history and the spreading news of Aunmarask's averted crisis, familiar faces find each other in the crowd and rejoice with unusual fervour. Some are more familiar than others: Brilla hoists Duya above the crowd to search for his casino business partner, Krisha; Bora hands out sample animals for anyone willing to not tell Duke; Anya and Jay share a look as Siobhan launches into an informal lecture on their recent labwork. Safe in the laurels of their own successes, it seems that curios from all walks are looking forward to this opportunity to relax and reunite. It's during opening ceremonies that the mayor of Wellstone delivers a twist for the year. "I think we've all been a little wound up," they laugh nervously (to little response). "So, this year we've got a special game for you all. Some of our friends in the Hunter's Guild have lost--I mean, released their beastling circus on the fairgrounds--don't worry," they're quick to add, "it's perfectly safe! But if you can catch any, come by our medical teeeeeent I mean prize counter as soon as possible!". Assured that the night will most certainly devolve into chaos, the ceremonies conclude and the visitors scatter to every corner of the glowing festival. The beastlings are already beginning to torment passers-by; Duke snatches one out of the air before it can try to carry Harkyn away. A typical Feast, he thinks to himself, tossing the creature and its undignified squawking aside. It was about damn time.,,,What your curio can do:Depict your curio exploring the Feast of Beasts! Are they working the fair or enjoying it as a guest? Perhaps they're after those delightful beastlings, or simply tormented by the presence of Scatterstar's favourite pest? Maybe they plan to make good use of this opportunity to talk to some of the world's movers and shakers, or old dynamics may be resolved by chance. Many NPCs from across Scatterstar have taken the time to visit this (in)famous event: Brilla, Doran, Duya, Anya, Jay, Duke, Harkyn, Siobhan, Charlize, Gilad, Bora, and Krisha. Does it mean something for your curio to see them there? Additionally, submitting an entry will enter you into a raffle for a mystery curio design! Rolling a Festive Beastling will be counted as an extra ticket. The design and its winner will be revealed at the end of the month.
