A piece for Nabi Artist Collective group show.

I'm very excited to tell you that now I'm a part of artist collective! Our name is Nabi Artist Collective and you can find us on Instagram and Facebook . We're very new, very fresh and very unexperienced But we're excited to see what future brings for us. We will be hosting monthly shows and AUCTIONS! Our first show have already started on June 1st and the auction begins very soon, which means in few hours. If you're interested in grabbing original art pieces or fine art prints remember to check our Facebook page before auction ends on June 12. It's the very beginning of everything and we mainly focus on gaining experience and learning but any financial support would mean a world to us ^^ The collective is group of 20 incredible artists and you're more than welcome to checking their entries and galleries! As for the work, our first theme was "metamorphosis". At first I focused on literal change of physical state but eventually needed to add more psychical background to it. The girl is about to disappear what obviously makes her sad. She's crying because she will be gone in few moments and she can't stop it now. But she doesn't protest. Because that what is happening with her is her plan. She in fact wants to disappear, but literally. Leave no reminiscence that she never existed. Like steam. Be gone without leaving any memory, without causing any pain.
I eventually realized that I'm creating a mental self portrait. This is a picture of how I have been feeling for quite a while. This state has a name but I'm always reluctant to call it out loud.
Let it be my little confession to a world. I'm pretty sure that some of you can relate and that this picture will resonate with you.
Though if you look closely you can actually find a good side of this concept. Because that steam she's turning into will eventually also change it's form. She'll become something completely new. Will be able to start everything from the beginning and suit herself to new surroundings. This is the metamorphosis she'll be going through and her way into happiness~
