Hi there from !

This is one amazing visualization of the sensation of creativity, with sparkling colours and heart-felt atmosphere. I dare to even say that this deviation also depicts the sensation of inspiration
since the colour-spectrum most obviously appears to symbolize how an inspiring thought (represented by the cyan blue) is processed in our subconscious, thus creating wonderful ideas to share
(represented by the crimson and vermilion shades of red and lively orange). The white beam of light coming to the girl's face and then glowing through her necklace completes this, as the
sensation of creativity can be quite intimate as well.

Of course, since I should find something that needs improving, I'd say the necklace almost disappears into the white glow, so it could use some more defining. This fading effect, however,
works well with the hair though. And one more thing about the white light, it seems to obscure the girl's silhouette slightly while her closed eye, eyebrow and lips stand out a little too much.
Regardless, it's a beautiful piece that tells me the respective deviant has definitely some out-matched talent!

Well, all in good practice of improving a fellow deviant's skills, as well as me keeping the skill of proper commenting alive.
I hope this humble comment of mine may be of some use to you.  Keep up the good work!

I really like the choices you made with this piece, in composition and in color.  The cool blue comes into her, is filtered through her like a prism or an engine, and projected out in warm reds.  Here's how my mind works: blue is cold, cold atoms are unexcited, calm, or inactive; red is hot, hot atoms are excited, active, energetic.  Moreover, her facial expression and body position are those of passive reception, not active pursuit.  So, without even trying, she hapily receives the influences and inspirations of good and beautiful things (white, at the core of the blue, is also associated with goodness) that come to her as if by an easy, flowing, washing motion.  She then cannot help--as if it is her natural process--but to convert those perceptions and receptions into active, energetic, exciting, explosive products that are just as beautiful as what came in, but in an altogether different form.  Further evidence that this product is tangible (a form of produced art) is found in your inclusion of definite geometric forms on that side of the piece.  This is what I see; I can't help but wonder if any of that was in your mind.

Your anatomy is excellent, so I can only nit pick...but I love to nit pick, so here I go.  Your outstanding use of color shows great comfort in that area, so I'd recommend that the black line between her lips is probably unnecessary.  Also, her eyeshadow is somewhat harsh, especially near the "crows feet" area.  You did a really good job of placing thin streaks of color to show individual strands of hair past her ears, near her brow, and by her shoulders, but the bulk of her hair on the top and side of her head looks clumpy and blurry in three prominent groups.  Finally, and this is the biggest issue, I think her ear may be way too far back on her head.

All in all, this is a beautiful image.  keep up the good work and thanks for letting me comment on it.

Hi, I'm here from ProjectComment

I have to say, this piece looks really, really, really cool. Right out of the gate, when I first looked at the thumbnail, the colours jumped right out at me and I knew I had to comment on it! ^^ The cyan half fading into the red and then orange through her hair is really clever, and the details in the hair highlighting really catches the eye. Her serene expression also adds to the really interesting and unique mood here. I also like the contrast between the circles in front of her and the rectangles behind her, which make the two sides seem to have even stronger contrast. The theme is also very meaningful, and the "spark" of creativity is clearly represented by the necklace! The only criticism I have is that the white light drowns out her face a little bit, and that the red and blue makeup look a little bit strange, but that's just my opinion. Other than that, great job - the anatomy is fine, and I love the light effects around the floating pendant. All in all, awesome work! Keep it going!

I really really like this piece. The contrast of the colors is the most striking thing that comes launching at me as soon as I view the piece. It gives an intense feeling of duality between fire and ice, different emotions or state of mind from chaotic to order/clarity. This is such a powerful piece and with that being said there is always room for improvement. Unless intentional the head comes off larger in proportion to the body, the makeup being more of a reddish color somewhat takes away from the two raging colors(forces) prevalent in the background and would maybe work better in a bluish color. The dress gets a little muddy with the left blue color, perhaps if you gave it a slight outline and more defined details. The hair is similar I like how it's a transitional point in the piece but I feel if you were to flesh out the hair more when it hits the red it would be even more powerful. Personally I would like to see this a lot bigger but that's just me. One last thing but this is also just me I feel as though the piece would gain so much more weight If you played with the lighting more carving out more cast shadows and darkening some of the current creases like under the neck etc.. With all the statements your making in this piece it begs the question of whether order permits more creativity than chaos?

Originality is a delusion so I don't rate based on originality I only rate based on what I think you want to achieve with the piece 7/10 Llamas would recommend.

Hey! I really, really appreciate your comment and will take note of every point of feedback you have given me. As for the size of the deviant, I had to resize it because I wanted it featured on my page, but Deviantart does not do well resizing images so I had to do it myself. Unfortunately, this means that you are not able to view it's original size.
Thanks again and a good day to you sir

An excellent use of colors. The detail used used amazing. This is truly an art piece that i can look at want to hang on my wall. My favorite parts of this would be how it gradients the color from blue, to dark blue, purple, red and finally orange/yellow. I enjoy this art work because of how well the colors played together, its not often you find artists being able to make good transitions with out any awkwardness. Though the features i don't enjoy as much would be the character design. Of course i personally think that the eyes shouldn't really have a purple eye shadow because it contradicts the gradient from the hair to the right of it. The skin is good, but i think you could have done something more with the dress, a little more detail and what not. I really do enjoy this art piece, so my final advice for you would to be to work on character design, as the facial part of this art work is lacking something. I hope you don't take offense to this, this is my honest, whole opinion, you are free to ignore it as such.

I agree with you, it could've used more detail. I think I managed the first part; sparking interest with my use of colours; but now I have to nail the second part; make the details count in order for the piece to remain intersting. Thank you so much for your time giving me your feedback These really help. And I appreciate the grades as well!

No problem! an artist such as you deserves the best kind of help! (I'm not the best.) I'm limited in art, i prefer to be the director, see how things play out, always adjusting the small details, ya' know?
Thanks!

I really like how you guide the viewer's eye through the image. The floating necklace is a really nice touch. Same goes for her expression; with the outburst of light and color, that calm, tranquil expression really stands out.
The anatomy does seem a little bit wonky; the shoulder looks more like a detachable doll-arm, than something that is part of the body and it doesn't look quite as relaxed as the woman's facial expression.
I also feel like the piece could have benefitted from not having all the colors competing for our attention at once. Subduing some a bit, while letting others come forward can create a little more balance. If the saturation on the woman would have been higher than the background, for example, the former would have stood out more, and it can work the other way around as well.

However, I really like the overall piece. The colors you picked do work very well together.

I agree on both your points of feedback. At some ponit, I got the anatomy wrong and I couldn't find a way to fix it again. As for the saturation, I get what you mean, and I did want more depth in colour in her skin, but wasn't quite sure how? Maybe you can teach me a thing or two about this haha

Virtuxa In reply to evehartman [2016-06-22 18:34:21 +0000 UTC]

With the anatomy, I recommend two things; the first is simply gathering images of people in the pose that you want, for obvious reasons, and the second is also gathering a number of images that display anatomy well. A picture only depicting the human skeleton, one that mainly focusses on the muscles, and so on. I find that this helps not only see the anatomy from a certain point of view, but also understand why you're seeing what you're seeing. Understanding which bones and which muscles result in the bumps and dents in the body that you see from a certain angle.
As for the skin; you tend to use very strong, bright lighting, and that has a risk of flattening things a bit. Maybe experiment a bit with different types of lighting, ranging from the bright, almost white lighting you often use, to something very, very dark. Multiple lightsources also helps creating more depths, as light rarely just comes from one specific angle and bounces off a lot as well.
Hope that's useful, I'm not very great at explaining stuff like this.

This is such an amazing concept. I really love those colors and I'm actually surprised that you haven't included green (on purpose or not), because green isn't a creative color. It's truly stunning.

TerminatorCat1 In reply to evehartman [2016-06-22 15:33:24 +0000 UTC]

I think green doesn't really fit anywhere. At least not when it's creative. I like that color, but sometimes it's pretty difficult to include into the picture.
