Me: I dunno... I kind of like Rainbow Dash... (is scoffing at self)
Friend: (staring at me scornfully) No... you're Pinkie Pie...

Yeah, I was of the same sentiment until an evil friend of mine forced me to watch it and then I was like, "damn, it's so colorful and uniquely and well animated... and then.. and then... DAMNIT!! The plot and characters are interesting too!!" In a weird way it's kind of refreshing to enjoy something so innocent. I completely understand your sentiment, and I'm generally not one to jump on fad bandwagons, but I happened to fall into this one. Some people take it too far, some people always do. But it's a cute show and for me, that's about all there is to it. If I had kids someday, it's a good show for them to watch y'know? I'm kind of at the point too where I've been thinking about having kids a lot recently, so that may have something to do with it.
