Feefees, originally discovered as cave dwelling creatures, feasting on minerals that provide them with their luminescent qualities, have now be found widespread across the world! Some reside in forests and the mountains, while some have even be found to have adapted to marine life. Recently Feefees have been domesticated for consumer use, mostly as pets and companions, and their variations have expanded due to popular demand. However, there are still many wild Feefees roaming about, and it is assumed that we don't know everything there is to know about them!
Feefees are an open species! That means you are able to create one of your own for free! You may ask for a custom, but it is unnecessary. Read below to find out how you can make one of your own! BasicsEnvironmentsFeefees can be found anywhere in the wild. The first documented encounter with a Feefee was within a cave in Chile, and upon research, it is concluded they must have all originated from caves or some other dark spaces -- it would explain their poor eyesight and their various adaptions to live in the dark from their luminescent qualities to their feelers. Their range of habitation knows no bounds, being able to live in places where other organisms cannot live. One popular example is the clutter found within the basin of a volcano, surviving by eating molten rock.
Some wild Feefees have also been seen moving into urban areas and adapting to the lifestyle as well.BehaviorsWild or domestic, Feefees have shown rather docile behaviors. Perhaps a better way to describe it is that they are reasonable. They are not senseless creatures, and they display an intelligence equivalent to that of dolphins, crows, and in some instances, measurable to that of a human's. They appear to have personalities, so individual behaviors differ between each Feefee.
They are naturally sociable creatures. In the wild they can be often found in groups call clutters. They are affectionate to their cluttermates, performing activities such as preening and petting with their feelers to strength the bond between themselves. Feefees also appear to be species-blind: they have shown to consider other organisms as their cluttermates. This is most obviously seen between Feefees and humans, but such relationships have also been seen between Feefees and dogs, cats, birds, and even fish.DietFeefees are omnivorous, and their leanings towards being a carnivore or herbivore depends on the environment they originate from. However, it is unanimous among all Feefees that they feed on rocks, minerals, or some type of earth. This is what gives them their luminescent qualities, and it is highly recommended for Feefee owners to feed their Feefees at least one serving of Feefee-designed food per day to keep them healthy. Base CoatTypically, wild-born Feefees have a dark base coat, ranging from black to light gray. However, since the introduction of "designer" Feefees (Feefees that have been bred for specific traits), the base coat can become any shade, but they tend to stick to the black and white spectrum, or are otherwise pale in color. The base coat is usually free of any markings and has a single base color, but there are some instances where this is not the case, such as some Feefees adapting eye spots to confuse predators and prey and colored ear tips to enhance illumination and detection abilities. ManesFeefees' manes are capable of having any sort of mane color, pattern, and texture. Polka dots? Stripes? They probably exist. More "unnatural" patterns are usually displayed by designer Feefees. Their manes always surround their necks and and extend to their bellies. In some instances their manes sometime extend down their back, but this is usually seen in species that require flashier coats to compete with others or in designer Feefees. Manes are capable of luminescent qualities.EyesA Feefee's eyes are always black with a white pupil. The pupils' sizes vary: if a Feefee comes from a dark environment, they are typically bigger, while those from an environment with large amounts of sunlight have smaller pupils. Regardless if born in the wild or born in the care of humans, they will always have bad eyesight. They are farsighted and have difficulty seeing objects that are at a standstill.EarsFeefee ears come in all shapes and sizes. Typically Feefees born in the wild will have large ears, allowing them to detect movement by sensing it by fine hairs in their ears as well as having an increased hearing range. Smaller ears or ears that are flipped downwards are usually telltale signs of a designer Feefee. The insides of their ears are capable of luminescent qualities.TailsFeefees' tails are just as various as their other traits. They can be short, long, furry, and some Feefees have adapted to marine environments by taking on fish-like tails. Oftentimes when a Feefee has a long, furry tail, they enjoy having it groomed and styled.FluffTypically Feefees have puffs of fur behind their paws to help them sense movement around them. This fur is almost always the same color and pattern as their manes. They can be long or short, though it is advised to keep them trimmed so that a Feefee doesn't become disoriented and step on them. Fluffs are capable of luminescent qualities.FeelersPerhaps the most off-putting thing about a Feefee are their feelers. They start at under the base of the tail, and are at least twice the length of the Feefee. Feefees have complete precision with their feelers, and they almost act like an extra pair of limbs. They emit an odor that can sometimes be scentless to humans, but if it's able to be smelled, it can range from floral to citrus to fresh rain -- it just depends on the Feefee, but there hasn't been a record of a Feefee's feelers having a "foul odor". Many believe the odor is used to mark territory and to claim things as their own. The tip of the feelers are fuzzy, and are able to come in any shape. Feelers are capable of luminescent qualities.PouchesThe pouches are found on each corner of a Feefee's mouth. They can come in any shape, and their mane function is to help the Feefee vocalize and, in some instances (especially in Feefees born in hot environments), store water. They can inflate a bit but inflation size depends on the Feefee. Pouches are capable of luminescent qualities.TongueBecause of their lack of noses, Feefees use their long tongues to detect smells. Their tongue and the inside of their mouths are capable of luminescent qualities.HornsSome Feefees are capable of having horns of any shape or size. Their color typically matches that of their manes. Horns are capable of luminescent qualities.Sex-based DifferencesFeefees are natural hermaphrodites, meaning that they both have male and female reproductive organs, thus having no difference in appearances base on their sex.Questions?
