Description So I love Snape's jacket in Harry Potter and thought a girl version of it would be really fun. I really wanted to get the pics up of the jacket but we didn't have time to do a real proper photo shoot. Eventually I'll redo these pics (like some of my others lol) with boots and a wig etc.

In this pic I wanted to show that the inside of the jacket is lined in green.

Do you take custom orders? If so, Iā€™d love to buy something like this! Snape is my fave character of all time, but Iā€™m also v fem! šŸ˜‚

Hehe!

Thanks! Ya I'm a costuming fiend lol......whenever I think of spending my money it's not on getting my hair or nails done or buying jeans but of fabric and wigs and what character to create next. It's an obsession haha!

Thank you, it suits me well

I`ve just been raiding your whole gallery as well and I am really stunned. Beautiful works there! And I saw all the other pics you made of your Snape-Jacket. I love how womanly it looks, although you can tell that it is Snapes as well. Again, very well done!

Thanks! My machine has a sort of pattern set for the buttonholes. I work with a PFAFF 1538 and there are the buttons on the side to choose from which sets your needle in the correct position. Then you set your zigzag to max, put your stitch on the buttonhole length and then click the button for the right side of the hole, then the one for the end, then the one for the left side of the hole and then the one for the end again. Then I just seam rip open the middle. A lot of buttonhole issues deal with placement as well. I really chalk out well where the buttonhole is going to be and measure the length etc. The biggest issue I come across is when I use fabrics that fray easy so when I seam rip it open the middle starts to fray and I have to constantly trim it to keep them from looking messy. That's what I need to figure out how to fix. Lol the art of sewing is constantly learning new things.

thanks a lot. i have a brother XL-6562. it has a button hole setting, but i always had problems sewing around the hole, your way of doing that seems a lot easier and i'll try it the next time i put buttons on my costumes

Hahah thanks so much! Ya they were! I had to use cheap joann button covers and they're really tempermental...plus the wool is pretty thick so it was hard to get everyone to work. There were a lot of scrapped buttons lol!
