Description My girlfriends favorite flower. Took this picture in my front yard to her to use as a background on her phone. I thought it came out neat.

It's definitely one of my favorites. We rarely get them though, because they're expensive as hell, and don't grow back after winter.

I had a yellow one before winter ;/ It's a shame they don't grow back. They're my favorite, but they're not that expensive when I get them. Guess I know the bargains

They might just be in our area. Maybe not? **shrugs** These were a pinkish red. I tried throwing some dark purple food coloring in the water once to make them blackish-maroon, but I'm not sure what affect it had on them. LOL. I didn't see a bloom before I watered them. It might have done nothing. Haha

XD Never tried anything like that before. Why did you want to change the color? Curious experimentation? or just looking to make a photo prodigy?

I've heard for years that it could be done. I wasn't really serious about it. I just dumped it in there and left it alone. lol. So I'm not entirely sure what effect it had on it since I hadn't seen it in full bloom before I dumped the water in there.

I love black and white pictures because you don't have the color to show the emotion that you have to portray and you have to try harder to capture that emotion and you did a fantastic job at doing that. I love this picture

Thanks for the comment! Yes, I love black and white photos best for the same reason! I find them to be classical. They also give the viewers better insight on the dark and light shades.

Thanks! I'm wanting to say the flower was originally pink. >>I'm gonna try to find the colored one too.

I'll upload it when I manage to find it. haha. (So I've taken a glance at the photos on my hard drive within the recent months, and there seems to be around 12,000?)
