As of late, I've had an idea for an AU where Alexis met Vincent while he was a sophomore in high-school and she was an 8th grader. Basically, the school they attend is one of those schools where the grades go from pre-k to senior year-you know the ones. The town they live in is a small, quiet one where there's still plenty of forest and little excitement.

Vincent was basically a loner who is dealing with his rising schizophrenic tendencies (and bullying/isolation for those schizo tendencies), two loving, but utterly clueless parents who don't know what's wrong with him, and the typical frustrations of a teenaged boy (what with changing hormones and whatnot). Vincent's personality in this AU is one of a cold and aloof character who keeps his feelings and thoughts within. To the general public and even his own parents he's grown cold and distant. Despite his hard and carefully guarded exterior, he's an emotional mess within (obviously) and can be hurt easily (though he never shows it). He feels as though he has nothing to believe in anymore, and is questioning the purpose of his own existence.

Alexis is a mischievous, confident, imaginative, hyper (without her ADHD medication), adventurous, and overly compassionate girl who is isolated for her overzealous/bold attitude as well as her utterly tomboyish tendencies. She's bullied too, though it doesn't bother her due to her high self-esteem (and the fact that she's used to being alone). She often finds joy in her own company, though she is always eager for friendship with another person. She constantly seeks out friendships in the shy, loner type of people because she doesn't feel as threatened or judged when she puts herself out for them...

...Which leads up to how she meets Vincent. (( I'll put more info on that in the next deviation))
