Your drawings, all the line work and textures come together so well.
Your characters can breathe, they are alive.
Keep up the good work.

Oh that is one awesome lady-knight. I think pencils are a great medium for steel and steel armour

They should stay away from Numeria, then, and the campaign path that takes place there, Iron Gods. My new Kingmaker character (Teah ) is a refugee from Numeria, the neighboring country to the west of the PC-run kingdom established in Kingmaker (called, "Navareen" in our game). I loaded her down with as much tech as I could manage as it will be near impossible to get more now that she's left Numeria. Otherwise, firearms, tech or otherwise, are pretty rare on Golarion, found mostly in Numeria, the Mana Wastes, and among the pirates of the Shackles, so they're pretty easy to ignore if your campaigns don't take place in one of those areas. I'm an old-school TORG (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torg ) fan myself, so I love mixing genres. There was no way I was going to et the opportunity to play a sci-fi android character in a fantasy game pass me by.

Thanks! I used actual medieval art as a reference to give it an air of authenticity. Although I have no issue with more a more fantastical approach to fantasy art (it is, after all, fantasy), I prefer to strike a balance between reality and fiction with my work.

Holy crap, this looks amazing! The detail in the armor really makes it pop. I'm super digging the strong chin you put on her too.

Thanks! That helps sell her as a heroic warrior-type. The trick is finding the just the right look so her jawline seems bold, but not masculine.

It's probably one of the hardest things to do. I really like the armor design you used on her though too. I see a lot of female armor characters with "boob crevices" in the armor. Not necessarily bad, but I don't think that's how a lot of the armors were made.

While I'm normally not a big proponent of the arguments people have about fantastical female character design in fantasy (the optimal word being fantasy), there is something to be said for the ridiculousness of "boob armor," as pointed out here: io9.com/why-boob-plate-armor-w… That said, I do tend to gravitate more towards using real-life references for armor and equipment in fantasy art than some other illustrators. For this piece, I used reproductions of medieval drawings of knights and photos of real-life breastplate armor as references.

Oh it's not that there's anything wrong with boob armor, especially if you're drawing to the fantasy genre. Just that it seems like more realistic armor for women gets cast to the way side seemingly more and more. It's sad because a good number of realistic armor designs were very cool looking.

Thanks. It's a combination of medieval sources and real-life breastplate. Google images is an illustrator's best friend.
