Beautiful! How did you get such an amazing angle on this photo? You must have been pretty close.

Yes, it was the case. He was perched high and I was in a yard of him. He let me approach it without problem.

Thank you very much

Fantastic pic!! what do you use for your photo editing? I use Photoshop CS5 along with my Canon SX120 non-DSLR camera....its 10.0 mp and a 10X opt zoom flip up flash, but i've got limited knowledge of what all i can do with photoshop. I want to start doing more with my photos like setting boarders readjusting focuses all that stuff. I want to be a photographer and editor for career ops and not just for lesiure so I'm trying to pic peoples brains and see what I can do and how to get my foot in the door.

Wow, he must have been close to you, huh? I remember trying to photograph these guys but they'd just stay in the back of the exhibit away from all the people, so I'd have bad shots/backdrops to deal with But you did very well on this! Here's my only shot of the pretty guys [link]

Evey-Eyes In reply to duskeye [2010-08-22 14:36:33 +0000 UTC]

I was a meter from him. It was perched high. He did not care that I'm there or not. He was absoluty not scared. He was in a giant aviary in which we can circulate. Thus, he used to be close to us

duskeye In reply to Evey-Eyes [2010-08-22 15:11:38 +0000 UTC]

Ugh you're so lucky for that! I haven't seen an aviary featuring these guys.

Evey-Eyes In reply to duskeye [2010-08-22 15:52:56 +0000 UTC]

Ordinarily, I always saw birds such as ibis, flamingo, roseate spoonbills, ducks, ... but I must admit that this is the first time I see cranes in aviary

I'm aware of how lucky I am, whether with the bird or other animal that I could approach. But I'm sure you've seen things that I have not seen
