I do like this image, first thought it could be a bit lighter. But after closer observation, the density is right for the glowing red stone in her staff.

Oh, I've been here, except when something comes up to keep me away, and normally it is for a day or two. This last time was longer then normal.
From all your replies of your scraps, and my close observations, I didn't see any of them. Even looking back through them again, knowing what you said about each, they are not really noticeable or bad. But yet again, I don't know what you are shooting for on those you toss off as bad.
Art is in the eye of the beholder, where his/her observation is there own and what they want to read into it. A lot of the modern art to me not really art or worth looking at. But there are many who like it and has a greater imagination to perceive what they see.
I like your works (as you can tell) with a flair I enjoy seeing in art.
Keep at it, and don't keep knocking your self down.
