Reminds me of cross sections, of what, I am not sure but cross sections of fruit or flowers or something like that. Interesting color choices and yes they do bring acidity to mind.

I think it was a gear or some decorative metal part of some machine? Don't remember. I know of the flower/plant that you mention. Don't know what they're called though. I like them better this way.
