Happy new head canons for everybody!This is a lot like my Spike and Celestia comic, it's an interesting idea, and although I don't believe it, I could see others doing so.
If the writers ever decide that they wanted Applejack's parents to be alive, this could be one way to do it.
It actually wouldn't be that hard to do, if the Wonderbolts are a branch of the Equestrian military, then AJ's parents wouldn't be around very much, (which could make a good episode, now that I think about it, sort of like a returning soldier thing and Applebloom is nervous about it).
They might not have been at the family reunion because they were needed elsewhere, which would be obvious to everyone so there'd be no need to mention them.
I say that if Twilight can have a brother that no one knew about, that is the Captain of the Royal Guard, then Applejack can have parents no one has seen that are Wonderbolts.
Some of you might say "Why did you pick those colors for AJ's parents? They aren't at all similar to the other Apples.". The reason I did so was because I based them on this painting on the wall (which is a parody of the painting American Gothic) at sweet apple acres [link] . Also the similarities of colors between two ponies coats hasn't always been shown to represent familial connections.
Pony genetics... how do they work?!
If need be, you can imagine that Granny Smith's husband was a Pegasus, and one of Applejack's grandparents on the other side of the family was a pegasus, or that a great-great-uncle on the mother's side alone as a pegasus, according to Mr. cakes logic, or that it's a fan comic making a joke abot magical flying ponies and get over it
!Also, the beginning is supposed to be slightly confusing.
Now if only someone could think up some names for them...

Just fyi I suck at writing critiques.. ok lets do this.
For the drawing in general I love the point of it… I love the drawing.. and I love the puns.. but if we're talking about the show here I would of thought that rainbow dash would've already been trying to get a hold of them.. The originality is probably the best part of this.. WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT THEY WERE PEGASI?! But really I love the puns.. I just thought that if you're gonna make anyones parents wonderbolts.. at least make them Fluttershy since she's a pegasus..

i like this but im just wondering how cant they be pegasi and aj and them arent? it just dosent make since and i just think that its not right, but they this is just my opinion, and stuff,anyways its funny how they're pegasi and the children arent, it just seems to make logic even better not understanding it,But its just that they're part of the bolts,i think that there should be a part two showing them droping by and visiting while rainbowdash is there and them helping around the farm and stuff, just to show that they do care and stuff.

Sorry for the stingy rating, but I wasn't entirely sure what to give this. It's nicely done and a very interesting twist on the Apple Family. Artwork is nice and very clean, practically show quality, and the colors are well defined. Certainly put a wide grin on my face.
This is my first critique, so sorry if it's a little short in the "critique" part.
One has to wonder, however, how two Pegasi conceive three Earth Pony kids. You'd think at least one of them would be a Pegasus too.
One also has to wonder; if the Apples are Wonderbolts, why hasn't Rainbow Dash pestered Applejack to meet them already e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let… " width="15" height="15" alt="

I think the credibility issue of the pegasi parenting earth pony issue can be addressed on se 2 e 13 when the infants are different races from there parents, I'm not stating that it means that establishes credibility for the artist but it shouldn't throw you.
The point you raised about apples becoming wonder bolts, "traditional apple family ways" is mentioned more then 5 times in the show and I don't think it's really possible either.
Though the whole apple jack orphan parent thing is unoriginal the way of which the artist approached it was creative and innovative so I believe you may of been slightly stingy there.
Because of credibility issues and how that may of effected your perspective of the art piece I concur with punishing ratings for vision and impact.
Technique is meta assesed and your rating for it is fair.

This is a bit funny and still sweet at the same time. This brings in new thoughts to AJ's parents and new ideas to where they are. I find that Pegasus pony parents(say that three times fast!)are highly strange to earth ponies . I really do hope you make more concerning why the parents do not live at the farm, but over all the originality in this is at a high rate. This is something I would like to see more of in young artists and you show lots of good imagination in you're case. I loved the comic and you really did a wonderful job.

I wonder what Rainbow Dash would think if she knew AJ's parents were part of the Wonderbolts. She'd probably either be amazed or freak out.

My theory came from the fact that Applejack's parents seem to leave behind synthetic contrails (trails of condensed water from an
aircraft at high altitude, seen as white streaks against the sky) when in the air suggesting that their suits are propelled by engines,
where as other pegasi like Rainbow Dash leave behind more natural looking contrails.

My theory is that their wings are experimental flight mechanisms used by handicapped Wonderbolts that lost their ability to fly and Applejack's parents are testing them because Earth ponies tend to be physically stronger than unicorns and pegasi due to relying only on their physical prowess as they don't have the luxury of magic or flight for everyday duties.

At the end of the episode, the shot fades to a view of Sweet Apple Acres as two shooting stars fly through the sky. The shooting stars are meant to represent Applejack's parents, according to storyboard artist Sabrina Alberghetti. Lauren Faust had previously mentioned that the whereabouts of Applejack's parents has not been planned, and that the show is unlikely to mention that they've passed away. Faust stated she wanted that to be the case."

Definitely a lot happier than what is probably the truth. I hope they eventually go into what happened to the Apples in the future. The show probably won't but the comic might.
