Chapter 1: The Hunt
Redoing some of the first chapter. Not only is the art not up to snuff, but the introduction to the story is no longer satisfactory to me. Artist evolution happens, and you need to be proud of were you've come from, but it is more important that the story feels like it has direction and good pacing, which is the main reason I'm redoing the first half.
I planned a lot and for a long time, before I began doing pages for publishing online, however I feel now that I could have benefited from planning more. I was too eager to begin and I dived straight in. I learned a lot doing it that way, but it has come to a point now where I'd like to retell this tale properly.
I do it all digittally now, but back then I used to draw it in pencil, ink on top, scan it, and then colour it digitally.
Don't worry, I'm not redoing all of it, just about the first half of chapter 1. I'll aim to update new pages in tandem.

XD Maybe. But when I actually try, it's difficult to come up with good lines that rhyme.
Also while it's daytime. I'm more creative at evening/night, just like many others.

Its not a case of a lack of passion. I can probbaly say that I put more effort into producing the older pages and they didn't look as good. It also took me twice as long to make a single page. How I make pages now is more streamlimed and I personally feel like I'm improvong a lot. Thats natural progression and artist evolution. You learn how to hone your craft and experience brings the perks of speed and skill.
If you feel that I lack passion because my update rate is slow I can understand what you mean. I've simply not been able to update as much as I want because of things happening in my life. This last year I've been suffering a long form, very debilitating illness. It hasn't gone away and I'm not sure when it will, but it has made me physically unable to put in the effort required to update weekly.
Its been a difficult year for me, and it is with great sadness that I haven't been able to continue telling my story. However, I feel that I'm getting to a point where I will be able to continue. Maybe not weekly, but I love this and making comics so much that I'll never stop it.
Your question is quite insulting by the way. Was it meant to be ao antagonistic? My passion prevails despite life's troubles. Please always keep in mind that most online web comic folk don't get paid to do it. If they have a Patreon page its not enough to live on so people do it in their spare time along side day jobs. I was also comissioned to work for a publisher to produce a monthly comic that did give money so a lot pf my effort that I could muster went into that.
I hope you still enjoy my new stuff when it comes out. Even if it may be a bit different.

Don't worry, it takes more than that to anger me. I only wanted to let you know that you were being presumptuous and rude. I don't think the internet should be a shield to hide behind while being rude to someone. Its letting people get away with things they wouldn't say in real life. I don't lack motivation. What I lack is free time and sufficient health since my accident last year.

I completely welcome all constructive feedback. I'm very grateful to my followers for that. Someone called me out on the fact my backgrounds sucked, and I agreed, and spent a lot of time working on it to improve. People let me know typos or if something isn't coloured, thats great!
What you're telling me is your opinion. That "Having soul stripped" from my work is how you feel and also isn't really anything I can work with, and criticising update rate also, not helpful. I can look at it and try and improve, or I can ignore it if I want to. If you have any feedback in the future I'll still welcome it, but I also tell you that you're being shitty, if you're being shitty.
