Description Since this deviation seems to be the most popular one I have posted, I shall task you all with a small task. All of you that mark it as a +fav or download it, post the images of your use of it, and of course send me a link to the posted images. If it's private and hosted elsewhere, feel free to send me a note. >


The tie I used in the recent shibari shoot. I did not make this image, I just post it as an instruction, since I was asked about the tie I did on the model. It is a freely given image found all over the internet, released for public use and education.

Oh, and the 7 meters of rope is for tiny little asian women, I used 8 meters on the real woman I tied. If I had used a little more, I could have made the ropework a little more intricate, but had only cut 8 meters to use. Also, I ended my tie in the back instead of the front...thought it looked better that way, and there wasn't quite enough rope to come back around front anyway, unless I pulled it all a lot tighter than I did. I wanted to keep the model comfortable, so I didn't tighten it up. My advice, use two meters more rope than you think you will need, and cut off the excess if you find you have too much.

If you want them restrained somehow, restrain them. This is more for art, looks, than restraint.

I think it's just a regular knot. Nothing special. Just tie it off however you want to.

That's just normal knots. Tied like you would any other. Like tying your shoes...just do it twice and leave off the bow.

That's what I tired, but whenever I close the knot (getting it the most tight so it doesn't rip off), it just get high on the rop and gets close to my neck, even if I do it on the end ofthe rope ._.

I was mistaken, I went back and looked at the tie I did for the photoshoot. You hold both ropes together and tie a knot in them both at the same time.

How tall you are isn't as important as how big around you are. Like I say in the description, use 2 meters more than you think you need, and cut off the excess.

The benefit of that tie is that it can be done to yourself. Feel free to tie yourself and snap it and share. You can sent it privately if you don't want to post it publicly.

I've always wanted to try shibari, and I've even tried this one. I cut too little rope though and it didn't work. *sigh* This really helped though, I always wondered how people did such beautiful rope work.

Doesn't have to be silk rope...I used a soft rope I found at Harbor Freight fairly cheap (on sale). It had a camo print which I thought looked rather nice. I'm not sure, but this [link] MIGHT be the one I used. Also found this [link] which could have some interesting possibilities, though it's only 1/4 inch.

Let me know how it goes...and of course, let me see the results.
