I HATE it when people diss your art when you use MS Paint. Not like I've had that happen...accurately, anyway. I need layers sometimes I (makes mistakes like crazy, lol), so I use Pixlr for the most part, but heck, MS Paint is FUN to screw around in!

It may not be Photoshop or Sai, but it's simple and is actually a really good place to start. If you can do well in MS paint, then you are an INCREDIBLE digital artist.

MS paint can draw just as good as any other program
i find it annoying when i go on youtube and see a vid of someone drawing in MS paint and all i see in th comments is "OMG LIEK I HAVE NO IDEA MS APINT COULD DRAW SO GOOD!" seriously people?

yup, agreed. I mean it's nice to have a non tacky airbrush tool or a blending tool but MS Paint works fine!

That's because it's the artist who does the art, not the program.

Ms paint is still a good program, i use it for lineart and coloring (i cheat XD)
Then paintool sai for shading
and gimp for BGs

I prefer traditional drawing, mostly because I have the most experience there, but I'm messing around with digital. ^.^

I draw a lot by hand, i don't post nuch traditional though, since i don't have a scanner it makes it difficult to take pics
