One of my experimental pieces- an attempt to explain some of my lore~ which goes as follows-

Yatsu was banished and sealed in an old Sake Gourd for about 400 years- for an incident he caused in Kenzan. a very BAD one- That gourd stayed floating in the sea untill it fell into the hands of an 18 year old Vasco, popping the cork and releasing the spirit of this fox. He's not exactly a fan for being sealed in the way he was- while he doesn't really feel undeserving of it- it annoys him that he's stuck to this damn gourd like a genie in a lamp. He can't stray too far from it- he can't do things he once used too, he feels suffocated.

But it is a seal he can't exactly BREAK- mixed with old Kenzan magic he doesn't understand. Over the short 20 years though he's come to just.. DEAL with it, so long as Vasco keeps it close, so long as he has his crew, it makes things just a little better.

And a little more of a FUN FACT- Due to the nature of his sealing (a sake gourd being his containment unit) Yatsu can now produce alcohol from his body- "divine" sake if you will. Usually just letting it pour from his mouth, and it is said to taste better than even the most refined sake in the world.
