A great thing has happened. I finally learned how to use LAYERS. Yes, LAYERS. I HAVE FIGURED OUT THE SECRET

If I remember correctly, I used 6 for this. 3 for the background, then the base layer, then one for the hair, then one for highlights.

Now, I know she has this light pink thing going on around her. That's from where I did the basic coloring in MS Paint, and tried to erase it in GIMP. I almost had it all.... then I chickened out thinking I would screw it up too much. Yes, I know, I could undo the damage. But I get so tired of undoing stuff. Using a mouse is really tedious sometimes
