I'm not being a sneaky witch... I promise!I figured this photo is too cute to rot in my picture folders hidden from DA. The giant stone thing I'm on is actually in the form of a giant arrow head. I did some poses crouching on it prior to this little random pose, and they were all serious, but they've not been posted by Simple Beauty.

Question, where did you find the buttons on the collar? I've been having issues tracking down a nice pair. JoAnn's has been useless.

I added fabric paint to make it look finished and even out the texture.

heh, my toe nails are SUPER tiny. Finding press-ons to fit = next to impossible. HOWEVER if I were competing, or there was a shoot of epic propotions for Soul Eater(Villains), I would gladly add that extra hour to the already 1.5 hr prep time for Medusa
Not to mention, 98% of my Medusa shots, you can't even see my toe nails good enough. So it's almost a vain attempt.

Haha, okay fair enough, though I had thought you used yellow polish on your fingernails and didn't even think of press-ons. XD
It is strange about your Medusa shots though, in the series she seemed to be very proud of her feet, or rather just the thought of having the world and everyone in it at her feet (as would be her attitude) because she displayed them often throughout. Your photographer must not have known the character that well since none of your photos captures that aspect of her. 
You did an impressive job on the costume, so don't think that I am attacking your efforts or anything, it is just my analysis is all.

If i hand painted the arrows on my nails... add another hour... Press-ons are typically used for any cosplay where the character has a specific nail detail. Painting your own nails chips too easily, your nails are used a lot.
I've watched the anime, but I'm not far enough along in the manga to tell, i've only just been introduced to Medusa. Unless the manga interprets her a little differently, there were only altercations with Eurka where Medusa was preferring to use her feet. Outside of that I saw no over usage of her feet...
Medusa is proud of her whole body.
Now this photo, if you read the description is not one of the main ones from the shoot. It's not in character at all, and it's apparent to those that have participated in a shoot, that it's not the main photo set since there is a random guy in the background. I don't doubt it lol, especially when it came to adding details with your off-hand. Though I've heard that adding a coat of clear polish helps with chipping, but you'd know a lot better than I would on the subject. XD
I haven't read the manga, but this will not go unchanged. 
The altercation with her and Eureka kind of sealed the deal I thought. Stepping on a toad and deciding it feels good while making her point of superiority to the witch. Superiority, dominance, submissiveness, all is best expressed from the feet as indication of how that person is above another. I just saw this interpretation of her strongly in this anime.
She's proud of her body, I wasn't stating otherwise. XD
Anyway, that image of you standing atop Free and Mizune captures Medusa pretty well, especially with her sense of floating.
Don't you find it interesting how Medusa's motif is that of a snake, and her first underling is a frog followed by a mouse? Then you have Arachne who's motif is a spider while her underling is a mosquito? I love the consistency with this anime.

A clear coat only helps a little. You can ask one of those ladies that paint their nails or have press-ons all the time. I'm rough on my nails, especially before a shoot/con because i'm finishing stuff up.
Ya know, I think what you're thinking of was their choice of angle. I noticed in that anime you knew what most of the character's shoes looked like. They loved the whole view from below angle to make it more edgy. The characters like Black Star would constantly perch their foot on something higher to display their confidence and power.
I know you weren't stating otherwise, i'm just stating she wasn't overly proud of one body part... and if you were to pick her most used and respected body part, it would be her arms and hands. She's always making hand and arm gestures when casting or fighting.

Yes I did notice these creature combinations... It's odd... But it explains why Medusa is such a bitch to everyone but Free. Free is the only one that could possibly kill her, just like a dog could to an average snake

That could be it, as you're right about Black Star's character and it was the same with quite a few of the others to be shown from the ground up.
You did well on displaying her arm movements, and the pics of your arms outstretched fingers into claws turned out wicked in a few of them. XD I did see your gallery of the garage shoot, and my favourite of all your pics has to be this one: [link] Your snake contacts truly sold this image and from that angle it looks as if you're about to unwillingly rip the viewer down to you, or lunge right into their throat. If Medusa is a snake witch, this is definitely the cobra in stance to strike. Calm, calculating, but you look as if you could easily become very, very fast lol.
This was a very nice set, you have every reason to be proud of this.
I need to watch this anime again lol, talking about it is getting me back into it all over again. XDD

We were all a bunch of friendly and goofy cosplayers at a shoot, it's hard not to smile the whole time.

Galvanized wire covered with plastic tubing. Like the tubes you used for your fish tanks. You can find it in most hardware stores.
I simply sanded the tubes so that the paint would bond well to it, and covered it with a few layers of fabric paint. I choose fabric paint so that I could still bend them and not have the paint flake off like crazy.
