Description A/N: Another dossier time! This time its for the still fairly new concept, Echo!Cry. Echo!Cry is the concept created and designed by Tunaniverse. Not much is really known about Echo but I'll give my two cents what it is to me. :3

Enjoy!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Name: Echo!Cry

Aka: Alternate Cry

Age: fairly young  as recently created (though is the same age as Cry by looks)

Height: Aprox the same height as Cry

Weight: Aprox the same as Cry's weight or lighter

Hair: Deep brown, almost black hair

Eyes: Unknown

Clothing: The exact same clothing Cry wears. Green hoodie, jeans and converse shoes, all with a difference of it being shadowed in black and looks dingy in color. His mask, however, is completely black with the exception of the eyes of the mask. They are an eerie stark white.

*Note: He seems to be very unstable in appearance, his body, mask... everything wavers and moves as if made of smoke or a collection of ink or water. What exactly is he made of?

Personality: Its very unclear of what his personality is, but he seems to be very hostile and yet excited toward Cryaotic. Like he's eager to get to him and speak with him? Or something more? He looks at the gamer with both malice and admiration, which seems to confuse and anger Echo. More so when Cry ignores him or doesn't notice, which infuriates and hurts Echo. When left alone, he murmurs to himself, pacing back and forth across the room like a caged tiger, staring at fanart of Cry. Echo himself is very unstable in seeming to be confused of what to do as he both stares at the art in awe and then seconds later tears it apart, screaming chaotically. Then sobs and begs at the scraps of paper.

*Note: Echo is an effective name for this one. Whenever he speaks, his voice has this echo effect, like many other voices are trying to speak at the same time. Deep and throaty to rough and harsh and even light and feminine. Why is that?

Weapons: Unknown

Fighting Style: Unknown

Strengths: Unknown

Weaknesses: Unknown

Relations: Cry – Target. Virus – Target. Mad – Target.

Fears: Unknown

Backstory: There really is no information on this at all. But whatever information was gathered from tests... found very... interesting results.

Echo!Cry is in fact that... an echo. An echo of so many voices of fans, all vying for attention, to be heard; as well as the echo of so many ideas and none of them seem to agree with one or the other. Positive and negative feelings toward the gamer pooled into one being. From whatever dna was pulled from Echo, resulted in an exact match to YouTuber Cryaotic. As if... all the ideas, voices, feelings had rushed and overtook the gamer of an alternate timeline or universe, and he never fought back. Perhaps even welcomed them? Whatever had been left of Cry was eradicated and all that is left is merely his image... even his face had been erased, leaving nothing but a black hole underneath the mask.

His hostility toward Cry seems to be a drive from the voices he hears, sees and answers back. As if those fans' desires are his own now, and he is willing to put Cry through what he did... to become what the fans want. And he seems to be confused and angry at why Cryoatic has refused to be what they wish, what they want him to be. He is neither Mad nor Virus, nor Fem!Cry or Trapland... Cry is nothing like them and refuses to be so and it just seems to set Echo off at why he is still himself and finds it wrong.

Echo's reactions to both Virus and Mad seems to be of excitement and jealously, as well again, rage at why they had not had Cry be what the fans' wish. Both Mad and Virus do not understand this and Echo becomes hostile towards them. However, whenever he is given something from either of the three, Echo is extremely happy... so happy he absorbs the item and seems to stabilize for a short period and seems content... until he becomes unstable again and is agitated when the item is gone.

So many questions are raised about him. What does he exactly want with them? To be what the fans wish? Or perhaps he's far too unstable to be without something of theirs? Like the voices, ideas and such are like parasites and have drained too much of him to stay stable and perhaps looking for a new body himself?

Its very unclear what his intentions are. But it is very clear he will stop at nothing until he gets what he wants... what the fans' want.

And he wants all three versions of Cry.

Too many? In a sense yes, but with fans, new concept ideas are always popping up. Like Fem!Cry, Trapland, Demon!Cry which actually many of the LNC don't like really. Not sure about Cry himself but Red mentioned that Demon!Cry was a little too... dark. And there's many others. These are the so far 3 I have more interest in. And Anti-Virus!Cry, he's pretty recent too, but pretty good Counter balance to Virus and he kinda has to compete with Anti-Virus Pewdz when it comes to both Virus and Cry.

The others, Fem!, Trapland, Demon and others I really don't touch base on since they really don't have much interest to me or disturb a majority of the LNC. But in a logical sense, yeah it is too many, but its just concept, there's hardly anything of Echo other than just artwork. I'm just putting these idea to get an idea what they are to me as well as document important details that I don't want to forget about each one. Echo's is because he's just very strange and yet interesting enough to get my attention. :3 Plus the concept to me is a way of people being aware of too much pressure on Cry. Fans need to leave him be to who he wants to be. The more we try to push our ideas and voices at him to be what we 'want' him to be, the less the Cry we love is there.

Thus Echo is just the echo of everyone else but Cry.

But my guess for so many Crys... is the fact certain ones are taken to heart by other and some are ignored. Like flavors of ice cream, everyone's got their favorite flavors and second and third. Usually people have the top 5 favorites. Some more and some less, but there's tons of flavors to choose from, yeah? So the Crys are like flavors. XD; I guess if it makes sense.

lol I'm not trying to make you feel bad, just pointing out a possible reason as to why there's so many concepts of one guy. xD That's just my guess of why, not sure of everyone else. :3

This is great! I love your take on Echo!Cry and how you depicted him!

The whole idea reminds me of Hivemind or TPP, and I'm really interested in seeing Echo!Cry's reaction and behavior around Cry, Mad and Virus.
I'm also interested in the three's take on Echo!Cry!^^

Thanks. He was interesting to write since I all I had to go on him was just the artwork, so I listened to music and stared at the pics hard, trying to catch little details that could help me understand him better. And I got this. XD

More ideas do keep coming to me, just very hard to use them since I don't know what would be right for him. I am curious myself of how he'll be, I could probably write that down next. His interactions of the three... but it'll difficult to do since I'm not sure what direction I want to go with Echo and with his erratic behavior would make it hard to see how well he'll do. But still interesting.

I see! It's amazing how you came up with all this just from listening to music and staring at pics^^

Really?! That'd be epic! XD I'll be looking forward to it then! ^o^/

Yeah, its kinda easy for me, not all the time but some times it is. I tend to people watch a lot, I'm not very trusting to very many people especially when seeing them physically. I tend to watch people and see from how they act and speak or move to determine if they're friendly and approach them or stay away from them if they feel... off. Even if its just sweet smiles and friendly words, the second I feel something off about them, I will avoid. Doesn't always work but its enough to let me get an idea of people.

I kinda apply that with characters in art, I look at the scenery and them to get the idea of how they are. People tend to make characters' background reflect the personality or the mentality of the character. Not everyone is aware of this, most tend to get an idea of the background after or before the character is done because its either cool or pretty. But it does have a link at times to the character itself. Not all the time its applied but it does a lot. lol Anyway, when I get an idea of their mood, I find music for it and see if it matches, sometimes it doesn't so I try various other music to see if it fits them in my head. Then listen to it as I study the character, the pose, expression, the way its drawn... all that when I get the basic idea I build off of that, start asking my questions to myself. Why are they like this? Why are they dressed this way? What motive do they have? Like that. And boom. Headcanons explosions. XD Its the gist of how I do things. Everyone's ways are different, but music and asking questions help a lot.

I'll try to see what I can come up with. Trying to fit all Echo's mood swings is going to be a little hard though. Even I'm not sure what he'll do. XD

*reads your massive wall of text* THAT'S AMAZING!

I people watch too, but not to that extent. I base decisions and reactions by relying more on intuition, rather than extensively/focusing on studying the person his/herself. Every time my intuition says NO, then that's my cue to step back and hiss at the person if they ever try to come near me. My intuition's 100% accurate when it comes to people.. I'm weird like that!

You're right! Most of the time, the pictures I fall in love with has a background that fits the character perfectly! The setting, the mood, the place itself, the character's pose...it tells a story! Although when it comes to me, my brain separates art from music. When i see an artwork, then I get a story plot or a whole new world setting. If I listen to music, I see something akin to an opening song or a song-scene you can find in animes and fan-made AMVs or fan-made opening/ending songs. Questions don't agree with me for some reason, hahahaha. I find it easier to ask less and see more.
Everyone is different indeed.

Thank you so much! Not many artists would go to such lengths just because of a comment made by a watcher. You, my good artist, deserves an oscar!

lol The music I play tends to be a spark for their theme music when they enter the picture. xD I ask myself questions to spark my creativity and build more, placing ideas together and shifting through with what makes it work for me. What I think of the character maybe more or less the same or different from everyone else's thoughts. Which is why I enjoy sharing my thoughts with others, it looks like I made a through analysis of the character or characters, but they're never complete. If I share my ideas with others, it sparks discussion, and discussion brings in new views and new thoughts as you look at someone else's idea and see some of it fit with yours and the character changes and grows becomes more dynamic well more 'real'. Thus easier to write and such.

Much better than Mad's evil and so is Virus or Virus is the guardian or Mad is. Just simple to the point is fine but doesn't give much variety. Discussing the whys helps shape them to be more than just flat characters. Hence my love for Virus, he's very flexible and got many ideas of how he is from peeking into another's idea and my thoughts grows and change and he changed to me and thus... ends up being the tragic character in my eyes.

Thank you, but you do ask good questions and I enjoy talking and discussing my ideas with other people to inspire them as well as myself to see things more differently about the same thing. Which makes this all fun. Plus its a challenge for my creativity :3

It's true that discussing a character and analysing them is better when with many people. I find it fun to discuss my characters with my friends and random people on the internet because, well, as you had said, everyone has different takes on the character. No two minds are completely alike and I find it interesting to hear other people's opinions. Discussing is also useful for when I'm stuck on a story plot or am out of ideas.^^

I agree with you there. If I do something, I have to find it fun or interesting, or I'll get bored and discontinue working on that thing. Ehehehehe.. XD

EvilVixen05 In reply to Cielo889 [2014-09-29 12:00:46 +0000 UTC]

Exactly! So much more fun to talk about your characters to maybe help with flaws or well create flaws to make the character more believable and exciting. ^.~ Like fears. Mad and Virus hardly have any fears. Virus more or less is afraid of electricity that isn't his own because he's a program and it causes him to weaken his hold on Cry or something of the sort. Its fine but then rather dull, predicable. I gave him a counter measure for that and came up with a new fear. The Dark because he died and spent time there. Alone and isolated in the dark kinda messes with your mind and it just triggers his memories of being well dead. XD No one wants to remember that. I mean the ol' afraid of the dark thing is pretty simple and boring but if given to a character that has a reason but totally doesn't look like they should be makes it a little more interesting. Or at least I think so. But who knows right? xD

Which is why I kinda like sharing my ideas of fellow fans of whatever I'm doing. I like seeing opinions and see what works or what needs to be tweaked and all that.

Fun has to be a major part of something, else why are you doing it. What would be the point of working on something that you have no real interest in finishing? For fun things, the answer is to see what happens and how it ends. Even most artists and authors don't know what's happening until its done. Which makes it surprising and exciting. Heck for one of my characters I was thinking about something totally different and when I drew it, it was opposite of what I was going for but loved it that much better and went with it.

The first time I've heard of him was from tunaniverse. Echo is definitely an interesting new character. He's so... mysterious. @_@

I know right? all of this was just based on the artwork based on him. His stance and the way he just stared out was like indication he wasn't stable, not just by body but his mind wasn't stable. Not Mad insane but so many thoughts and voices ringing in his head that he's being pulled in all directions and has mood swings that come and go in minutes. So he's very wild and unpredictable since no one knows which mood he'll be in at any second.

Thanks, the concept idea is really interesting and kinda takes a spin to be more creative in how he works and thinks.

To me since he is a collection of voices and ideas, his thoughts are too really not his, just a jumbled mess of his own and what fans' thoughts are, so Echo being constantly confused and angry is due to him not really knowing what to do with any of the three. Kinda like being in the middle of an all-out fan tug-o-war and pulled at from all sides. Hence his mood swings that shift back and forth. Like a colorful pinwheel, you know it has like at max four colors on it. Each a different and stand out but when you blow on it, the colors blur and mix into one that looks like a chaotic mess. His mood swings are dictated by the fans' thoughts and feelings aside his own that's lost in the jumble; whichever is dominate at the time is the mood he's in but it can change just as fast. He's both eager to get to Cry and yet shy, thus paces as he tries to figure out what to do. Kinda creepy to imagine Echo completely focused on you and just paces back and forth, never looking away from you. e.o Scary.

The way his stance is and the mask and then other fanarts of him without the mask on, I thought it all up from studying those art pieces since there's really little to no information on him and I've yet to see any fanfics with Echo, so it was guesswork based on the drawings. ^^

Still, thank you for enjoying it.

How about Mad is Cry's murderous desires and Cry was able to block it to the point that it didn't bother him anymore. And those desires came together and became an entity that wants nothing more than to kill and torture people, and the first person it wanted to torture was Cry. Then later, wanting to have full control over his body.

True, but then it really wouldn't tie very much to his psychotic nature and I kinda see him as being chaotic playful. x.x Damn you Mad!
