Native American, Indigenous, Indian, these are all words to generalizes us. We are many different races, I am of the Anishinaabe peoples that surround Lake Superior, I also have heritage in the Nēhiraw. There are also those that are apart of the Iroquois Confederacy, which are the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, and Seneca, there are many more that I can not begin to list.
Don't go generalizing us as for we are many different Nations and deserve to be treated as such, we not just a sub category of a race. Europeans have Polish, Jew, Finlander, German, Irish, and Greek, to name a few, you treat them as separate races right? (Not saying that you treat them differently they would just identify as such) The same goes for the Asians, and Africans.

Anyone can go to powwows, sweat, and do stick games.
But not everyone can be Native.

I absolutely love the quote. I have a dual citizenship (USA & Finland), and therefore I have two homes in different countries. I constantly go back and forth these homes. I'd rather study here in Finland, but the place where I feel I belong is amongst Native Americans. And a very nice intense photo btw! And like someone already commented, it seems to be more than a picture of a pretty face : )

i love Native Americans pride! i think we all (not Native) should learn from your people.. since i can remember i wanted to live at least for sometime in a Native Americans reservation just to.. just to stay together with them and learn
